Here
are eight short guides which deal with self-esteem,
learning about feelings, anger, getting along with
others and dealing with changes. The guides are most
useful for parents with school-age children. Each
guide concludes with questions to get discussion started
with children and simple activities to help your children
cope with difficult situations. This
information is especially important for children whose
parents are going through divorce or who are living
in single-parent families.

Learning
Disabilities (LD) and Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD)
LD is a disorder that affects people's ability to
either interpret what they see and hear or to link
information from different parts of the brain. These
limitations can show up in many ways: as specific
difficulties with spoken and written language, coordination,
self control, or attention. Such difficulties extend
to schoolwork and can impede learning to read, write,
or do math.
